Miro realized this series of prints El gossos (the dogs) in 1979, series comprising 9 engravings, all made in the Barbara workshop in Barcelona at 86 years old. These are masterpieces in the print work of Miro who engraved the same year etchings of the same importance : series of "commedia dell'arte", series "enrajolats", series "Gaudi", "rupestres" etc.
